Dear Neale, What happens to us after death ? And Question 2: Is the Bible true? What parts of it can we believe ? Thank you.
Neale Responds
My dear friend...I have written an entire book that proposes an answer to your question. The question itself is enormous, and the answer cannot be given in one simple 3 or 4-paragraph response. That is why I was given an entire book in response to the desire of all human beings to know what happens after we experience our Continuation Day. The book is titled: HOME WITH GOD in a Life That Never Ends. There you will learn about the three stages of death as I have been given to understand them, and you’ll be given lengthy explanations behind 18 Remembrances concerning death:

As for what parts of the Bible you "can believe," the answer is that you can believe any parts that you wish. Conversations with God tells us that there is no such thing as absolute truth. "Truth" is an individual experience, encountered in relative terms. For instance, an Eskimo may say it is "nice" outside today, and you may say, "My gosh, it's freezing out here." Everything is relative, depending on a great many variables.
The Bible contains an enormous amount of wisdom. It also contains some statements that I, personally, would not describe as very wise. Other people may say the same is true of Conversations with God---in fact, some may say that the whole book is rubbish---and I could not disagree with them. From their point of view, it may very well be. So...which parts of the Bible can we believe? Any parts that we wish to believe. Yet what you believe will create your behaviors. And what I have noticed is that the tendency of humanity to take its holy scriptures as verbatim truth, word for word, has caused more damage than it has done good.
I believe we could vastly benefit from a New Theology on the face of the earth. I have summarized this theology in What God Said, to be published in October by Penguin Putnam. It is a summary of the 25 most important messages in CWG, with solid suggestions following each message on how to make it a practical reality in your daily life. I hope you will have a chance to read it.
My advice with regard to the Bible, or any other holy book or belief system: Look to see which parts it has served you to believe, and believe those.
Sending God's love to you...
