Using 'the System' Without Knowing It

A Note from Neale

My dear friends...

We have been talking here about Work as a part of our life, and last week I talked about never working at a job you hate... and to know that if you yearn for what you wish to do, and then go for it; things always work out in the end.

I need to admit now that I did not understand all this myself until I was in my 50s, after my conversation with God experience. Before then I thought I had been just "lucky." I thought I just managed to catch all the breaks. I thought myself extremely fortunate; one of those people for whom things always seem to work out.

Only after my conversations with God did I realize what had been going on all those years, from the time I was 19. It was my attitude. It was all about the energy that I had historically put out. It was the way I thought about it. I thought that I was an uncommonly lucky person and so I was. I thought that things always work out, and so they did.

I had been using a system. Inadvertently. Unknowingly. But effectively. It turns out that the way you think has an enormous effect, perhaps even a disproportionate effect, on the way you live. Very early in my conversations with God I was told that there are three Tools of Creation. These are Thought, Word, and Action.

The use of these tools throws our focus on what it is that we choose from what Deepak Chopra calls "the field of infinite possibilities." How you experience your life depends on how you look at it. If you look at it as a constant stream of difficulties and challenges, messes and problems, it will show up that way. If, on the other hand, you see it as a continuing flow of good fortune, one good thing after another, that is what you will encounter.

In life, it really is a case of "what you see is what you get." Even when so-called "bad" things have happened to me, I always had a sense that everything would ultimately work out. And work out, I might add, in my favor.

And they always did.

Even my time as a homeless person worked out. True, it took a year, during which I lived in a tent at a campground populated largely by vagrants, but everything began ultimately falling into place, and today I see the time that I spent panhandling on the street as one of the most pivotally important passages of my life.

The Holy Experience for me as it pertains to my work or my chief life activity came when I realized that Life is on my side; that Life always works out for me not because I'm one of the lucky ones, but because Life is always working out for everyone, and that I'm simply one of the few who sees it that way.

I came to this realization after the age of 50, following a half-century of day-to-day occurrences on this planet and, not coincidentally, following my conversations with God experience. Because of that experience I now see every outward circumstance, every Exterior Event, as being for my benefit.

I may not see or recognize or understand the benefit right then and there, in the moment something is happening, but I know deep inside that everything that is happening is happening for my own good.

My life has shown me that. More than once I have undergone an experience that I thought, at the time, was the worst thing that could ever happen to me — only to realize, after the passage of time, that it was one of the best things that ever happened to me; that if it had not happened, the good things that were happening to me now could not be happening!

This is really an amazing revelation. It's a sacred, really... a sacred realization.

May I continue with this conversation with you next week? I hope you will join me then.

Hugs and Love,

Letters to Neale:

Reader question:

Dear Neale...

A couple of times recently, I have "prayed" for someone regarding an apparent problem they have which they seemed unwilling or unable to address, and soon thereafter something dramatic (and relatively "bad") happened in both cases, which either eliminated the first problem or caused the person to alter their former behavior out of necessity to deal with the new "problem."

So, I'm thinking "whoa, maybe I shouldn't pray about other people's problems anymore, if my prayers are having that kind of effect." I realize perhaps the dramatic things that happened were needed as a catalyst for the person to get past the "rut" they were in, but I also feel like maybe they didn't need such an abrupt answer to MY prayer!

So, is it good to pray about other people's problems? Or is it better to just envision them happy and whole and in harmony, and let their Higher Self take care of the rest?

Thank you so much.

Neale Responds:

Dear Karen... What a great question! Let me answer it by saying, first of all, that praying in any form, for anything whatsoever (so long as you are not deliberately wishing or creating damage in the life of another), can never be a "bad" thing to do. In the world of my creation, praying is just never, ever ill-advised. The question is not WHETHER to pray, or WHEN to pray, or whom to pray FOR. The question is... HOW to pray...

I try never to pray for particular outcomes. That is, I rarely try to tell God how to conduct Her business. "God," of course, is all of us, acting as One. God resides in each and every one of us, acting through us, as us. So, knowing this, when contemplating another person's condition or problem, I pray to God to create the result or event that would produce the best possible outcome for that person — whatever that might be. I try never to presume that I know what that outcome is. The "best outcome" for another person is the outcome that presents the best possibility for personal growth and spiritual advancement. In other words, for the evolution of the human soul. I have no idea what that might be, so I don't presume to put a one-item menu before God.

When I am in my HIGHEST place, I know without thinking that this is the outcome that is ALREADY being produced — whether I pray for it or not. Praying for the most beneficial outcome, however, often allows me to become aware of it, and to help put it into place — or to assist with another person's understanding AFTER it has been put into place. So, in truth, the prayer I offer is always for me. It is for the part of me that is small, and individuated — a singular aspect of Divinity — usually having forgotten Who I Really Am.

There is such a thing as "sending good energy" to another. That is what prayer is. It is the sending of energy. And even though the prayer is not "needed" (in the sense, as noted above, that the best outcome is always on its way), what MAY be useful and beneficial (to both the other person and, not incidentally, to myself) is the KNOWING of this. And so, when I send my urgent prayer to God for another, what I am asking is that all good energies be sent to that person, so that they may know that the Right and Perfect Outcome is now on its way. What I understand is that the sending of that prayer IS the sending of that energy – and that the answer to the prayer is in the prayer itself.

Did you hear that? That is a phenomenally "aware" thing to understand. I SAID.... "The answer to the prayer is in the prayer itself." Praying is important, praying is good, because all prayer is a call to consciousness. It is an invitation from the Soul to the Soul to move to a larger place of understanding. When it is a prayer for another, it is an opening through which one soul invites another soul to step on the path of wakefulness, causing it to then see that every conceivable outcome has already been created in every conceivable situation, allowing us to choose freely the outcome we wish to experience. God has said, "Even before you ask, I will have answered," and this is what that means.

Pray for others as often as you wish, my wonderful Karen. Yet make it a prayer of thanks. "Thank you, God, for helping my friend Lisa to understand that this problem has already been solved for her. Thank you for helping her to both see and embrace the solution. Thank you for helping her to rest easy in the knowledge that what is occurring right now IS the solution... and that it is not necessary to 'push the river,' but only to go with the flow. And thank you for helping me to see that, beyond this, there really is no real problem at all, but rather, a set of circumstances allowing the soul its next best opportunity for advancement. Thank you, God, for all of life, and for the comfort that comes from knowing that what I have said is so. And now, show me what, if anything, I, myself, can do to assist in CAUSING it to be so — for I am at cause in the matter, as are you, God Within Me, now and always, in all ways. Amen, and amen."

I wish you well, sweet Karen. How do I know that you are sweet? Because only a sweet person could have asked such a question. May God be experienced in your life.

Love and hugs,

CWG on Relationships

March 27-29, 2020

A 3-day exploration of the most meaningful aspect of every life
with CWG messenger Neale Donald Walsch

"There is no more important aspect of anyone's life than the human interaction we call 'relationship.' Without an important relationship with something or someone, we are nothing." This statement comes directly out of the Conversations with God dialogue. It is only through our relationship with those we love — including, hopefully, ourselves — that we can express and experience the wondrous joy of life.

Neale Donald Walsch is once again presenting a full-scale spiritual renewal retreat focused specifically on the subject of relationship. He is doing so again now, in response to the many requests he has received from CWG readers to share his understanding of how the messages of these extraordinary dialogues may be effectively applied to what can be for many among the most challenging experiences in life: their relationships with their Significant Other, with their children and other family members, and even with their bosses or colleagues at work.

Due to all of the ‘unknowns’ around the current Coronavirus situation, we are pleased to let you know that we have decided to have this year's Relationship event be a Live, Real Time, Two Way Interactive Retreat by global video link. All participants will be in the same ‘Virtual’ room with Neale and be able to interact with Neale, just as if you were in the same room here in Oregon.

Neale will work in a direct and very personal way to help members of the group deal in a new way with whatever frustrations or circumstances that may now be facing them — as well as to create the relationship of which every person dreams, and how to transform a present relationship into a joyous, fulfilling, and rewarding experience. You're invited to join us for three days and evenings that could alter your experience of relationship forever for the better.

Have you been looking for a way to implement the Conversations with God messages more fully into your daily experience? Do you love the CWG books but could use some one-on-one help applying their highest guidance in your life? Would you simply like to have someone in your life to share this profound material with? Then Wisdom that Works: The CWG Online School is for you!

Neale Donald Walsch invited Annie Sims to create this program and work with you online to assist you. Annie has personally trained with Neale since 2005. She serves as secretary/treasurer of the Conversations with God Foundation, as co-facilitator of a bi-weekly CWG Spiritual Study Group in Los Angeles, and as one of five CWG Life Coaches personally chosen by Neale. She shares in a light-hearted way many stories of how she has used the concepts to transform her life as well as many of the seemingly miraculous events she’s experienced along the way. Annie is a firm believer in how the CWG books have changed her life for the better, and she loves sharing how you too can use it.

The Wisdom that Works curriculum covers Conversations with God’s 25 core concepts in three learning levels:

Level One explores the most fundamental messages of CWG with its courses "The Basics" and "Creation and Purpose."

Level Two expands upon them with some of the more controversial messages of CWG in "Dispelling A Few Misconceptions" and "Larger Understandings."

Level Three encompasses some of the most advanced concepts from CWG in “The Power of Threes” and “Moving Beyond the Illusions.”

Each learning level consists of eight lessons, and each lesson is followed by Self-Reflection Questions and Action Steps. You post your answers online, then Annie posts back with feedback on your work, gently guiding you in using that lesson’s concept and fine-tuning your comprehension of it.

All of your work is done online inside the program, and you go at your own pace. The lessons are neither time nor labor intensive, yet we suggest that you do only one per week, in order to fully embody that lesson’s concept before moving on to the next one. Each level consists of eight lessons, so if you choose to do all three levels at the pace of one per week, it will take you approximately six months to complete the program. You will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Your access to the program never expires, and you are welcome to refer back to it for years to come.

You may sign up for one level at a time for a cost of $120 each. Or save 20% by signing up to take all three levels in the program, for a total cost of $288. Whether you sign up for only one level or all three, Annie will be with you every step of the way.

"Wow, Annie, I was so impressed by your lessons. Congratulations to you for achieving your dreams. It's so nice to be around company that believes that dreams do come true. Neale's newest book:

The Essential Path

Is it possible that everything we think we know about God, and what God wants, is wrong?

People everywhere are noticeably worried as they step daily into an “us against them” world, with people divided from each other as never before across political, economic, social, and spiritual lines. We're all asking, “What can I do? Is there anything the average person can do?” as we see the unifying fabric of our civilization being torn apart right before our eyes, separating many of us from our friends and even our loved ones, from our hopes and dreams, and from so much that gives meaning and value to our lives.

Sadly, we are turning against each other, rather than to each other, just when we need each other the most. But there is something we can do. In fact, we're all just one daring decision away from being able to make a major impact in changing directions.

In The Essential Path the bestselling author of Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch, offers a radical solution, peering into the heart of a broken, divided society and exploring the critical role that every person can play in returning to a place of peace, joy, and hope. While The Essential Path is a very short book, easy to complete in one quick sitting, don’t be surprised if you call it the most personally impactful book you’ve read in a very long time.
