Daily Thought

Your whole life is a message, did you know that? Every act is an act of self-definition. Every thought is a film on the movie screen of your mind. Every word is voice mail for God. Everything you think, say, and do sends a message about you

But What About Fear?
What's exciting about that???

A Note from Neale...

My dear friends...

I have a lot to say about Fear, and this may take up more than one blog, but let me begin by saying that Fear is Need, announced.

When I do not need anything, I do not feel fear about anything. So for me, Fear and Need are intrinsically connected. The more I need something from some person or situation, the more I fear that I may not get it. So the trick is to not need anything; to move into the State of No-Need.

I have always had trouble with this, because I think I have been a fairly needy person all of my life. Until my Conversations with God experience — and especially my experience of Communion with God. As most of you know, that was the fifth book in the CwG series, and it is one of the most profound spiritual books ever written. (I can say that because, first, I believe it, and, second, I did not write it.)

Communion with God says that Need is an illusion. Indeed, it is the First Illusion of Humans. In reality, Need does not exist. It exists only in the world of our illusion. God needs nothing, and we are God, therefore, we need nothing. It is as simple as that.

I'm not going to try to get through this whole topic today — way too much to say — but let me just add this here: A wonderful teacher of mine gave me, several years ago, a terrific acronym for FEAR. The one that we all know is:

"False Evidence Appearing Real"

That's not the one I'm talking about, though. The acronym my teacher offered me was:

"Feeling Excited And Ready"

Don't you just love that? When you think of fear as excitement, everything about the experience changes. The fact is that it CAN be "exciting to be scared."

My teacher added another line to this teaching that I will never forget:

Call your fears Adventure.

Wow. I never thought of it that way.

Now this does not mean throw caution to the wind. But it does mean that you don't have to be afraid of everything that scares you. That's MY little wisdom for the let me repeat it:

You don't have to be afraid of everything that scares you.

A lot of things have scared me through the years, but I decided not to be afraid of them. Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I have eliminated all fear from my life. That simply is not true. But I have eliminated most of it.

Honestly. Really. It's true. There is not very much I am afraid of any more. Certainly none of the things that bothered me years ago. We'll talk more about this next week…..

Until then...go to your copy of Communion with God and read the chapter on Fear. It's really quite amazing. (If you have not read this extraordinary first-person dialogue from God, grab a copy and dive into it! It really is quite a remarkable book.)

love and hugs,

Letters to Neale:

Can I escape this life by suicide?

Reader question:

Dear Neale,

I'm from Ecuador and I read your first book in about two weeks and some parts of book two and three. Lately I have been thinking about committing suicide. In your third book says that people that commit suicide are ok and God doesn't judge them as everyone thinks.

I just want to know if there is some kind of awful place where I'll have to stay until coming back to life. I'm asking this because when people die and come back from death, they have experienced bad things only if they commit suicide. The people that die naturally always have a great experience of light and music and stuff like that. What exactly happens with people that commit suicide?

Thank you.

Neale Responds:

Dear Friend...

If you think that you are going to escape something that you do not wish to face here on earth by committing suicide, I am sorry to have to tell you that this is not going to happen. All the conditions of your life were created BY you FOR you, for the benefit of your soul and the purposes of your present journey through physicality.

Home with God: In a Life That Never Ends explains this journey — and the consequences of suicide — more fully and more amazingly than any other Conversations with God book... and perhaps, more than any other book ever written. I strongly, strongly , advise that you give this book a read-through before you make any firm decision regarding the taking of your own life.

One purpose of the conversations with God that I am having is to help all people everywhere get in touch with the sacredness of physical life; to assist us in understanding that life in the body is a gift of unspeakable proportion.

When I asked God, specifically, about suicide, here is the information that the dialogue in HOME WITH GOD produced:

Persons who end their own lives "will simply not have achieved what they set out to do. That is important for anyone who is contemplating suicide to understand. The sad thing is that those who end their own life imagine that they are going to change things, and they are not.

"Ending your life in order to escape something does not create a situation in which you escape anything. If you are thinking of ending your life in order to avoid something, you should know, I say again, that you are contemplating something that you cannot do.

"A wish to avoid that which is painful is normal. It is all part of the human dance. However, in this particular moment of that dance a person is trying to push herself or himself away from something that the soul has come to the body to experience, not to escape. Because that person has found the experience to be painful and difficult, he or she seeks to step into a void, where there is nothing to face and nothing to fear. But people cannot step into a void, because there is no void to step into. A void does not exist. There is no void anywhere in the universe. Not anywhere at all. There is no 'place where nothing is.' Everywhere you go, the space is filled with something.

"What is it? What is the space filled with? Your own creations. You will face your creations wherever you go, and you cannot escape them nor do you wish to, because you have created your creations in order to recreate yourself. It will not benefit you, therefore, to attempt to sidestep them, or to dance around them. Dancing your way to the void cannot be done. Let me put this another way: A Void Dance is not possible."

So what happens to a person who commits suicide? Says HOME WITH GOD:

"You will encounter yourself on the other side of death, and all the stuff you carried with you will still be there. Then you will do the most ironic thing. You will give yourself another physical life in which to deal with what you did not deal with in your most recent one. For it is the purpose of physical life to provide you with a context within which you may experience what you chose, in the spiritual realm, to experience.

"And so, by leaving physical life you will escape nothing, but will just place yourself right back into physical life, and into the situation you were seeking to escape except now you will be back at the beginning again. You will not see this as a 'punishment' or a 'requirement' or a 'burden,' because you will do this all of your own free will, understanding it to be part of the process of self-creation, for which you exist."

So, I said to God, we might as well deal with whatever we are dealing with right now. And God replied:

"Indeed, that is what life is for. When life is used in that way, you will die when you are ready to use death as a tool with which to create a new and different life. Suicide is the use of death to create the same life all over again, with the same challenges and experiences."

Is this what you wish to do, my friend? Do you wish to create the same life you are living now, over again? Do you wish to face, from the very beginning, the same challenges and experiences?  Or do you wish to keep moving forward in the evolution of your soul, using the experiences you have already encountered as your tools and your map, building the path and showing you the way to the next grandest expression of your Divine Self?

The choice is yours, my friend. As always, and in all things, the choice is yours.

I send you love and light on this day of your life and mine. May God's grace and love fill your heart to overflowing in this moment, and may all the times of your life from this day on be a celebration of the grandest notion that both you and God have ever had about you.

Your companion on the journey,

The Conversations with God
Annual Year-End Holiday Retreat

December 29-31, 2018

A very special moment for reflection on the past year

and the setting of intentions for the next year

There come times in the human experience when the Heart, Mind, and Soul—all three—call to us at the deepest place of our being to simply stop, just for a while, and look at where we have been...and where we want to be going. The end of every calendar year is one such obvious time. And this year, it is a more powerful time than ever. Look around you. Look at what is going on in your life. Then look at what is going on all over the world. When you make an assessment of all this, you will understand why Neale has created a brand new topic for this CWG retreat: DEALING WITH CHANGE; COPING WITH CALAMITY.

This timely end-of-year retreat is designed to move you to clarity on how you may employ spiritual tools to help you mentally and emotionally cope with all that is happening around the globe — with leaders on the world stage loudly and belligerently threatening to destroy each other, with global warming whipping up storms to a level we have never seen before, and with social and political issues dividing people more profoundly and disturbingly than ever — to say nothing of the shifting conditions in our personal lives. Using the eye-opening messages of Conversations with God as a source and a reference point, these three days could bring you closer to inner peace than you have been in a very long time.

Let this be the perfect gift for you, or someone you know who is expressing worry, concern, or upset about the state of the world, or about an aspect of their personal lives.

DEALING WITH CHANGE; COPING WITH CALAMITY will help you apply the messages of CWG to life as it is showing up right now. There could be no better way to start 2019.

This is not a typical "workshop," with lots of dyads and breakout groups and "circle-ups"... This is a spiritual renewal retreat, consisting of quiet conversation, gentle spiritual invitations, and highly personal interactive exchanges with the author of Conversations with God as he moves with you through the intimate process of your own awakening to greater clarity on what you wish to be, do, and have in your Life, using the special messages of the spiritual books that have changed the world.

And, after a catered dinner together, the program culminates with a wonderful New Year's Resolutions Ritual just before Midnight on December 31st, followed by dancing and celebration as participants ring in 2018 with Neale and his wife Em, strengthened by new decisions regarding personal choices and the creating of new inner realities in the year ahead.

DATES: Saturday, December 29th through Monday, December 31st, 2018.

Neale's newest book:

Conversations with God:
Book 4 ~ Awaken the Species

We’re in Trouble. But There Is Help... If We Listen.

Is it possible that everything we think we know about God, and what God wants, is wrong?

In the middle of the night on August 2, 2016, Neale Donald Walsch found himself drawn into a new and totally unexpected dialogue with God in which he suddenly faced two questions:

Is the human race being offered help by Highly Evolved Beings from Another Dimension?

Is there a key role that humans are being invited to play in advancing their own evolution by joining in a mutual mission to assist the planet during the critical times ahead?

He was told that the answer to both questions is yes.

Then he was given 16 specific examples of how Highly Evolved Beings respond to life differently than humans do―and how adopting even a few of those behaviors could change the course of world history for the better forever.

That information makes up the body of this work.

A striking invitation to every reader sets the stage for the extraordinary explorations that follow. Picking up where Book 3 in the Conversations with God Trilogy series left off, the revelations about Highly Evolved Beings and about how ordinary humans can answer the call to help awaken the species on Earth will breathtakingly expand your view of both your personal and your collective future.

Which is exactly what the dialogue was intended to do.
